En esta l\u00ednea, este panel quiere repensar sobre lo obsceno y las pol\u00edticas libidinales como un espacio conceptual en el que se activan las\u00a0 tensiones entre repulsi\u00f3n y atracci\u00f3n, placer y violencia, lo privado y lo p\u00fablico, el arte y el archivo. Algunas de las cuestiones que pretendemos abordar en este panel incluyen: el papel de la t\u00e9cnica (de impresi\u00f3n y diseminaci\u00f3n), la est\u00e9tica y el formato o medio al facilitar la imbricaci\u00f3n entre arte y obscenidad; los efectos, ecos y reverberaciones que se pueden trazar a ra\u00edz de performances e intervenciones de archivo que centran materiales \u00edntimos e im\u00e1genes sexualizadas de violencia; la construccion etnopornografica de la otredad en materiales cinematogr\u00e1ficos, literarios y pict\u00f3ricos; y los debates en torno a la definici\u00f3n y accionar del (post)porno en los espacios p\u00fablicos.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">En el marco del <a href=\"http:\/\/jlacs-travesia.online\/es\/2020\/10\/17\/pandemonio-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/jlacs-travesia.online\/es\/2020\/10\/17\/pandemonio-2021\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1610391308869000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEBz6q1whoNHG6QRrXX1HNkJzLcjg\">Simposio en l\u00ednea Pandemonio 2021<\/a> organizado por el Journal of Latin American Studies, este panel interroga la potencialidad de lo obsceno y las pol\u00edticas libidinales como marco de cuestionamiento y activaci\u00f3n de resistencias. En concreto, las diferentes presentaciones se centran en intervenciones que problematizan y socavan las pr\u00e1cticas coloniales de sujeci\u00f3n de los cuerpos; las narrativas monumentales y heroicas acerca de la construcci\u00f3n del Estado-naci\u00f3n; y la violencia intr\u00ednseca a la militarizaci\u00f3n y disciplinamiento de la vida cotidiana. El formato del panel consistir\u00e1, en primer lugar, en una conversaci\u00f3n disponible en esta p\u00e1gina web entre Fern\u00e1ndez-Galeano y Tortorici acerca del dossier de JLACS sobre \u201cObscenidad, censura y pol\u00edticas libidinales en Latin America\u201d. El dia 12 de marzo de 2021, cada uno de los panelistas (Celleri, Franco, Ouedraogo, and Troconis) presentar\u00e1 sus respectivos proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n multidisciplinar sobre erotismo y activismo en la literatura, el arte y la performance (con una duraci\u00f3n estimada de 10 minutos por presentaci\u00f3n). His monograph, <i>Sins against Nature: Sex and Archives in Colonial New Spain<\/i> (2018) received prizes from the AHA and the MLA, and he recently coedited <i>Ethnopornography: Sexuality, Colonialism, and Archival Knowledge <\/i>(2020) and <i>Turning Archival: The Life of the Historical in Queer Studies <\/i>(forthcoming, Duke 2022). His current research focuses on the archiving of the \u201cobscene\u201d in Latin America, from the eighteenth century to the mid-twentieth.<\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Javier Fern\u00e1ndez-Galeano<\/b><\/h5>\n<h5 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Bio: <\/b>Javier Fernandez Galeano is a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow at Wesleyan University. His first book project traces transnational queer cultures and state policies in Argentina and Spain (1940s-1980s). His current research projects revolve around queer religiosity and erotic materials preserved at institutional and private archives.
